is it next to your sink ?
is it a intigrated machine or free standing0 -
no its not as dont have a space there im afraid, it is freestanding and will be about 4 appliance widths away from sink.***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0

case of putting new draining point in for it them by sounds of it as from what you describe its 2400mm from anything .
idealy you down want to be putting waste behind it otherwise its going to stop ot going back another 2inch .
need 2inch hole drilling through the wall with core cutter , then the kit to make a trap then run it through wall and to nearist drain remember needs to have some fall on it.
matireals shouldnt cost more than £10-15.
as for water supply you will have to use the space under the kick boards and run 15mm with washing machine valve down to where you plan on having sish washer , can get longer hose but not 2.4m .
if you dont have a core cutter might be best asking a plumber because there not that cheap and need decent drill with clutch unless fancy breaking your wrists0 -
It's called plumbing. You will have to extend the pipework from where it is to where you want it. Not sure how you propose to get the new pipes behind the existing units, without moving at least one of them. It might be easier to move one of the units to make space next to the existing unit.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
how much will a plumber charge aprox? i ordered the machine from the catalouge which had a 30 quid connection option but didnt take it as i thought that i would need to have some kind of extra pipe which i presume isnt what they would be paid to do.
i havent the money to buy new units etc to redesign kitchen, as the way mine is i would be better having the sink in a corner and they would then both fit in to the left of it where the pipes all are , the only other option i have is get rid of my very wide oven for a smaller one as it would then fit in slightly closer than the other way.
the way my kitchen is built is a nightmare basically but it is rented and pretty sure ha wont pay for it to be done.
the corner unit is open backed basically so that wont be a problem then it would run past cooker (unless traded for new one) and then be on the left of it (if got a new cooker it would fit to the right)
i have got a plumbing book from the library , if the job is too difficult though i will have to get a proper plumber in to do the job.***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
'Connection option' means they will charge you £30 to plug it in and connect the cold feed and the waste, which you could do yourself. It doesn't mean they will plumb it in, you have to provide the connections ready to connect!
All you need for a dishwasher is a power socket, a cold water feed and a drain/waste within reach of the appliance, the cost would be dependent on how far away the existing feed and waste are and how easy to connect back to them.No free lunch, and no free laptop

You're an inspiration! Keep us posted as to how it goes.0 -
The easiest way to do it would be to extend the water and waste pipe from your dishwasher to you plumbing. If you are going to be extending water and waste pipes make sure you know what you are doing as a flooded kitchen will cost a lot more to sort out that a plumber will charge to fit it for you.0

You can extend the incoming water pipe with hozes a smuch as you like, but please be carefull extending the waste pipe.
If your not carefull you can create a syphon or airlock that will cause your new dishwasher not to empty or to get stinky.
Chippy1 is right in post #4 a new hard piped standpipe near the new position is required.
A plumber (or any handyman/woman) should be able to do this quite easily.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
