Where's the dipstick?
Can't find the automatic transmission dipstick,is it me:think:. Mitsubishi Colt '06 auto diesel. Owners handbook shows engine compartment &points out brake oil ,coolant &wash ,but not gearbox oil. Engine oil got red knob but that seems to be the only one ,no yellow etc.

It probably has the tube, but not the stick, which you'll either have to make or buy.0

Perhaps a sight glass or even a bolt/grommet that you remove.0

Would the tube be sealed with a nut or something else? as I can't see anything that resembles a tube or anything that's within reach. Or did you mean it's been removed/lost? I was hoping newish cars may have a sealed unit & not need topping-up.0 -

Yes, it should be sealed with a cap.
Gearboxes are not sealed for life, no matter what the manufacturer says.0 -
Most automatic transmission pipes/fillers/dipsticks are a pipe with a red/orange/yellow cap on it and a plastic part connecting to the cap that looks similar to a cap for a ball point pen.The man without a signature.0

TY boys. Not one there, so next service will get one put in. Problem hasn't re-occurred so I won't worry for now.
