Renewing cheap NU Motor Rescue from last year? Money saving tip!

Some readers may have taken advantage last year of a really cheap rescue policy from NU. For homestart, recovery etc, for two people driving any car plus an additional motorbike, I think I paid about £42, which was stupidly cheap. No great surprise when my renewal arrived with premium, for the same cover, of £110.91. Not so hot.

However, a quick call to NU for a quote on the phone gives me a price of £75, again for the same cover.

So, moral of the story is that it's worth ignoring the renewal they post, and getting them to quote again. £75 may not be the rock bottom price I could have got cover for, but it's not so bad plus I didn't have to give all my details again - so I was happy.
