Need some help savers!
Following a number of disasterous holidays over the past few years, the latest which included popping laxatives thinking they were immodium (nasty), both myself and my girlfriend really dont want to go abroad this year.
I was thinking about taking next week off and getting away for 3-4 days somewhere in the UK, which could provide us with some of the following;
a) 3-4 star (hotel or B&B)
b) Things to do during the day / good pubs restaurants nearby
c) Budget isnt really a problem, as long as its not rediculous.
We're from the Glasgow area and can drive or train it, so no real restrictions on location.
Thanks

I would consider Ambleside in lake District, lots to do in a lovely old worldy location. Nice and realxing. Go into Google for a hotel /B and B in the area.
I have heard the Drunken Duck recommended. http://www.drunkenduckinn.co.uk/rooms.htm
Have a good holiday wherever you decide on
