Egg money to egg savings - cashback?

Hi I've got an Egg money card (old-style, can be used as mule) and have a positive balance on it.
Am I right in thinking that if I trnasfer that +ve bal to my egg savings account it qualifies for the egg money 1% cashback?

I read about this on another thread and it really took me by surprise so want to check my facts first.
Also, how do I actually go about doing it? can I do it online?

Transfer can be done by secure message.

It's worth a try, but most people report that the cashback is clawed back the following month.

Although you're now coming up to the last statement before the annual payout so there's a chance you'll get the cashback and then start the "next year" with negative cashback ;)

I got one cash back from a phone call request 3 months ago that is still o.k. but another last month by the same route did not show as cash back. Some you win, some you loose (although I don't suppose loose is the correct description)
