Hi there, i need some advice on this.
3 weeks ago, i left my job of 10 years, to be nearer my family, i am currently looking for a job, i have around £2000 in the bank, and loans of £300 per month to pay out, i am staying with a friend for a small weekly fee until im on my feet with a job, then i can get a house.
Anyway, i believe i wont qualify for any benefits as i left my last job voluntarily, is this right?
I also need a bit of dental work done,so would i still be able to register, get no money, but get free dental work?
Thanks for any advice,I'm sure i'll find something soon.

You don't need to be on benefits to get help with dental treatment - you can fill in a HC1 form.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Claim Jobseekers Allowance anyway - you can be sanctioned for up to 26weeks but this decision is done by a decision maker. Your better to claim and find out if this applies to you rather than claim further down the line and try to backdate your claim and backdating is rarely allowed.
If you don't claim you won't know. Call them up.

You claim now. Even if you are 'sanctioned' you may still get your NI contribs credited, which will go towards your pension.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Yes, i agree about registering, you need to sign on each time to get your NI credits, it has far reachign effects, especially for future benefits and towards your state pension.
Good luck in your job hunting.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
