Autumn fruiting pruning raspberries

In my gardening book it says to prune them down to ground and this is what I have done. These are canes I took from an empty allotment so I just hope it works.0

Quick question. I have some autumn fruiting Malling Jewel raspberries in. Am i right in thinking i need to prune the woody canes down to a couple of inches?

Yep, just cut them right down. It does work, I have Autumn Allgold which fruited first time 2009 [bought late in 2008]When an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
