....although, to be honest, you should be able to change within Windows (File/Save As).

i think its bitmat? my mum's computer is confusing.my laptop saves it automatically as jpeg..0

.bmp files can be easily saved as .jpg using the methods others have given. The irfanview program should be able to batch convert (i.e. a folder at a time) saving you a lot of time."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
