Self employed and unemployed.

Can anyone help me on this puzzling situation please...basically, I am a newly self employed person wanting to move in with my partner, who is currently unemployed and on JSA. Does anyone know how this will affect us financially / with the job centre/benefits?
I have just this week gone self employed, am not expecting to make a profit for six months as any money made will go back into the business..will probably not be able to even pay myself very much. I'm sure I will still get some working tax credits as I have been anyway, they seem very nice about allowing me to change what kind of credits I'm getting etc...BUT..my partner is unemployed and on benefits at the moment. I would love to move in with him, as he lives nearer my new business. However, how will this affect his housing benefit etc? He does not wish to be financially dependent on me, if I have to pay all of the rent etc, and I do not wish to financially responsible for him. Can we move in together? Will he still receive JSA? How will me moving in, a self-employed individual, affect his housing benefit? How much of the rent would I have to pay? I am sure he won't be unemployed for too long, but you never know, and I want to know where we both stand on this murky issue! Thanks :)

In that case you probably shouldn't move in together. Any claim for means
tested benefits will have to a joint one and will take your income in to account.
