tsb counter acting on charges can anyone please help me?

Hi guys i closed my tsb account years ago, i then tried to claim back some charges that a refund company said i could get back, Then the dreaded court order put a hold on my claim why the banks appealed.

Anyway the tsb now states that i owe them money, £280 i dont, they kinda counter claimed and are now after 2 years sending threatening letters through the post, Is their anything i can do, i no longer have any paperwork to do with the tsb as we closed the account and moved to natwest, It seems they are being petty to me and trying their luck, Can i do anything about this or am i all alone.

Thankyou in advance

Did you claim through the refund company?
Did they go as far as claiming in the County court?
If they did then the debt is still in dispute and they will have to refer to the court and deal with the claim company. If not did you take it to court?

  • Hi, sorry about the delay, im on 16hour nights , yes i started to claim through a company, but then they said the banks was disputing all charges and they dropped my claim, now the tsb are saying i owe them and i dont, thay have filled a default on my credit file and are now threatening legal action, im unsure if my claim company went through the curts they wasnt helpfull and even said the £500 wasnt worth the trouble after months of handling this for me.

I am so gratefull for all your help so far and if you can advise me any further than that would be fantastic, im not a clever man and struggle with most things to do with this sort of thing so bare with me folks.

Thankyou again and i will keep checking everyday from now on ..
  • Are you getting phone calls from the bank? Are you receiving letters from the bank?

OK what has happened? Has the claim company actually succeeded, pocketed the money and run, leaving you to pay back?
