ctc. LOVE that first dress......
The coat I would put at about £50 (see what happens, you can always haggle, maybe put a sign that you are happy to haggle??)
The first dress I would be happy to pay about £20/25 ish if it was in my size, but as I am a fatty most vintage stuff won;t go near me!!!
I would have a go listing that stuff on ebay......

Hello everyone!
I haven't read the whole thread(s) but would still like to join in! I hope I'm in the right place to post this...
I'm going to do this with my other half with the aim of paying off his debt (or at least a good part of it). He's working doing his dream job but it just doesn't pay him enough so when I saw this thread I thought I had to convince him to give it a go...
So we've agreed I'll look for stuff and do the picking up and he'll do some looking and all the listings on ebay/amazon and packing and sending.
I started this week and so far have managed to pick up about 50 books for free (looking at how much they sell for, I reckon we might make £30-£50 out of it) and about 80 pieces of baby clothes for free (although it doesn't look like they sell very well on ebay).
I intended to go to the car boot sale tomorrow (very excited as I have only been to one once when I was 15 - I am 31 now) but now a friend of mine told me that they stop in winter and might have not restarted. Is that right??
I have also been doing matched betting for a long time and intend to show him the ropes with the partner friendly bookies.
That should give us a good start.
His debt is £7500, but anything towards it is better than a kick in the teeth!
Oh... And when it comes to what food I'm having tonight, I think I'm going to make seafood pasta!0 -
I thought it looked like a public shower room !!
But I love the items - I have no idea on vintage so cant help, but I could give you a comparison from Primark !!!!
I would have said higher prices than mambury. £40 quid on the dress, and £80 on the coat.
Matched betting - am I getting this right - the way to make money is by utilising the free bets ??? So its not the actual betting that makes the money? So when you have used up all the free bets, you techincally couldnt make any more money?VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

oh I am really struggling to figure out where to place one side of my ads on gumtree lol, they dont quite fit anywhere, think it might end up being placed 40 times instead of the 20 *sigh*I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0

Basically yes, or at least that's the easiest way to make a lot of money fast.
But once you're a "customer" you get some extra offers every now and then and you can also do arbing, but that's more time consuming and you don't always gain much (helps if you have a lot of money you can tie in). But I won't start going on about this or I'll be going on forever!0 -

I am doing my first vintage fashion fair in london in march with my vintage clothes..
here a few bits... its the pricing that is getting me in a tizz... any suggestions on the three items below, on how much i can charge?
The 1st dress is gorgeous, I love the print! I'd be happy to pay £25- £30 for it, pink dress around £20, and the coat £40-50
Is the London fair in March or May? I'll try to pop down to it.
Portobello road is the opposite side of London to me, I'm near bermondsey, but its my fav, Camden is busier but I dont think its right for my stuff.0 -

If you are around in march come and see me....
i am going to the one in feb just to have a nose, and to get a better idea of things, but my spy that went to the Jan one.... seems to think i could easily ask £60 for the pink one, between £40 - £55 for the first one,
the coat is an unusual one as its not a full length , which is the normal ones you find.... so i think i can get between £50 - £60 for that, but again, will have a better idea after the fair in Feb....

I only signed up today so cant comment on the process.
BUT the style of writing in the newsletter is fab ! Simple, fun, to the point... would recommend anyone thinking about it to sign up asap.
February is going to be my matched betting month so PM me if you want to [STRIKE]buddy up[/STRIKE] discuss itI am thinking about someone who wants to do as much as humanly possible in 30 days.
My plan is to do as many bets as possible in February and assess the profitability at the end of the month. I was impressed by the £5 per day bingobritain bonus but at the end of the 30 days it wasnt profitable for me to continue with my own money. But I am glad I tried.
This is something I could be interested in....but how much money do you realistically need to put in to see a return???Life is a work in progress0 -

not sure. The first bit I have read today implies starting with £60. I have been procrastinating for a year over this, but now I am getting down to placing my first bet, I am now sure it is for me !! It seems a lot of tarting around for free bets and offers with all of the bookies. I am not sure I fancy 25 betting accounts !! I cant quite seem how much work needs to be put in to make £4k a year - seems a lot of complicated figures and things. O, so it is a better return for less work than ebay for example, but you could muck it all up with the press of the wrong button. At least with ebay, you cant really go too far wrong.
Thats not taking anything away from betmunch - i still maintain that the style of writing and simplicity of how it all works is fantastic.
I might pop over to the matched betting forum and read some success stories.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID
