Hope MMTWGR will be back soon.

Munchki, great to "hear" you so much happier and more positive - I was quite worried about you for a while.

I have had a poorly girl at home today too - luckily mine is old enough that she can be left for a few hours while I go to work (she has had a cold since Friday and has struggled to school Mon/Tues and just wiped herself out).

I've done my first half term totals (still a little to come in for the next two days) and I've taken almost exactly the same this half term as I did the corresponding time last year. So a little disappointing that my work hasn't paid off yet, BUT more people seem to have used my instalment plan this term (money tighter I guess), so I have more due for the second half term than I took in the same half term last year iykwim, and also quite a few new customers starting after half term, so hopefully I'll end up taking more in the end. I've also signed a contract today for a major piece of advertising (scared!) for over the next 2 years, so hopefully that will pay off.

I am shattered and can't wait for my week off for half term, so am vegging with a coffee for a bit before cracking on with stuff. I need to move some savings into a cash ISA so the government don't get their greedy paws on my interest (such as it is!) so I might count the paltry amount I'll save from that into my total too.
  • Haha, He doesn't understand eBay, he just knows thats where all his Baby clothes/toys go and he has to be in charge of the 'stippy' tape when i'm packaging things incase I accidently send him instead. Oh and He loves the post office; the pension queue makes a great audience for him and there's a clock on the door he'll spend ages playing with, up until recently he missed the 'L' out of clock and the whole thing was awfully embarrassing 'Mummy, i'm playing with the...' :rotfl:

I love that however much we all come up with brilliant ideas we're still all tempted by the 'well worn' market :rotfl:

Right ho, guys. I know some of you said you had cookery blogs/ideas for cookery books etc. Well shoot me down if you want (and may already have been done, you'd need to research) but there was a person on the radio on the way home who had written a cookery book for visually impaired people. Now MIL lost the use of one arm through a stroke a while back and I wonder if there's call for a similar book for people with similar problems? She has all sorts of gadgets from social services but she tends to leave the cooking to others because it's easier/less scary than trying for herself, but if you could do recipes and say "now you use your thingamajig this way to do this" it might work? Even things like pampered chef stuff - I'm thinking the chopper would be good for people who can only use one arm? So you could do recipes and combine them with good gadgets and maybe start simple to build people's confidence back up? Anyone reckon this one might have legs?

Well, just have spent the past couple of hours and have applied for 11 more jobs. Searching and hunting I am beginning to feel like an expert on lol. I know I have the interviews scheduled for this week but nothing is for certain obviously, so must keep building up the plan. It would however be so nice to have someone ring me to offer me an interview and for me to have to politely turn them down because I have found something!! heheh, one can but dream.

Now I deserve a biccie and a coffee......anyone want to join me?

MMTWGR - I really hope you are doing well, miss you and your wit loads. Hurry back to us all soon. Huge Huggles x

Hi Hermum-yep that was the north Devon posse about the car boot sales-we might be doing one at Pottington (bit of a way for you! and I think Mambury was going to do Bude.
Hi, I'm going to give the Exeter racecourse one a go in a couple of weeks, I don't know haow far that is from everyine else, or if you've tried it before. A friend went there last year & did really well, the ones in Plymouth don't seem to be great unless you only want 20p an item. Ok if it's a lovely day as it's a day out, but not so good if you want to make money.
