Ok-thanks to a sleepless night I have sorted some stuff out..the new collection will be the Seren Collection (sorta like serendipity and serenity but with no pronunciation problems-and I can still do the blog about why its called that) I've done a search on the name and it means Star in Welsh...its also the name of a transexual with her/his own 'interesting' website but never mind lol!
I have also decided it will be a collection of one off pieces-I have so many pieces that I have made in the past but wont really suit wedding jewellery that they are just hanging around-they should be being sold!!
So...something along the lines of ..The Seren Collection-unique jewellery for any occasion.
Whatya reckon?!...please dont tell me I've been awake all night and come up with a carp idea lmao
We know someone who called their little girl seren (the mum is Welsh), think it's lovely :T
I much prefer Seren to Serendipity; although the longer version is a gorgeous word, I've seen a lot of sellers using it and it tends to be people who make dragon sculptures and dream catchers, type thing. Think Seren suits the items better and BY THE WAY I was very bored and unmotivated last night so I joined a wedding forum...intending to post on a couple of boards so I didn't look like I was advertising...was going to 'mention' this great site I'd seen...only to discover the only posts in the whole thing were from people advertising their stuff! Oh, and one poor girl who was obviously hoping someone could give her advice about her fears that she'd bought the wrong dress, and no answers! :rotfl:
I need someone to drip-feed me caffeine today, please, I'm barely awake...I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Hi ladies,
I have been following this thread from day one but I am a virgin when it comes to posting.
Although I am not a member I have been doing the challenge from the start and I am doing ok. The problem I am having is I cant stop dipping in to the cash to cover bills etc!!!
My motivation for doing this is I have a five year old and I am 4 months pregnant :j
I work full time at the moment and found out in December that my office is closing down. We have not been told of redundancys yet but I am pretty sure I will be one of them. I havent told my work that I am pregnant yet as I dont want them to "hurry" my redundancy along. So my major aim is to have £10k to see me through the next year - fingers crossed!!!
Anyway rant over, just wanted to pop on and introduce myself. This thread is one of the only things that keeps me sain in my work at the moment.

Hi Josephine..things must be bad if this thread keeps you sane! only joking hun-welcome to the thread and heres hoping you wont be one of the redundancys.0

oh tell me about it - I almost cried when i listed my maternity clothes but 6 babies have taken their toll on my body and its just not up to any moreand they were the easiest thing to get started with
I love the name for the new collection mabel
right must get off here - money saving has to take a backseat for a few hours today , when i comented to dh last night that I had nothing on today his reponce was " so the house will be tidier when i get home then " LOL sometimes i think he doesn;t know me at all !! but that said if i get the dining room table usable i'll be able to sort out the sewing machine and as its one of my commitments it is kind of moneymaking to do the housework LOL
see you all later xI am journeying to a debt-free life.

I LOVE Seren, and the ide of buying unique pieces :j well done Mabel!
Right so far today I have lost an hour  queueing at the school to get my two a school photograph together and have sat down with a cup of tea and MSE....I can see today not being overly productive as once I sit down I have trouble getting myself motivated to do anything else.......somebody tell me to go and do some jobs PLEASE! Saying that I have just seen the time - I have to be back at school in an hour (after having done lunch) to take my little girl to preschool, and then back to collect both my monsters 2 hours later.....feel like my day has gone alreadyLife is a work in progress0 -
