Agreed - madness...cos even at £360 it's about three times more than if you bagged the Somerfield's Pocket PC with built in GPS & accompanying Medion software.

I have read in pocketgps forums that this new range of TomTom GPS units are very unreliable, and some have had theirs replaced several times. That might explain the falling prices.

    Are they really that bad?

This seems packed with useless features

Features for this TomTom GO 910

    - European streetlevel mapping
Got it on my PPC from Somerfield using I-Go..
    - Northern USA streetlevel mapping
Got it on my PPC from Somerfield using I-Go..
    - Extra wide touchscreen
Got it on my PPC from Somerfield
    - Handsfree calling via bluetooth
I have a Jabra and like the fact I dont have to carry a bloody tomtom about from car to car and works vehicles when I dont need to use sat nav.
    - MP3 player and audiobook
Again PPC from somerfield does this
    - Slideshow
Again PPC from somerfield does this
    - Text-to-speech technology
With added software my PPC does this as well (doesnt come as standard)
    - iPod control
One to the TOMTOM but my incar MP3 player has this
    - Home dock
Just another name for a charger and USB cable
    - Tele Atlas Mapping Software
    Got this with I-Go
    -MP3 player
One built into car and personal one for work.. again no need to cart around a TOMTOM in your pocket.

All in all not a good buy for me when I already have more handy versions of what it offers

I doubt it, as it was in Kwiksave /Somerfield electrical clearout way back in January/Feb.

There is often a refurb Medion version at the Medion shop around £129, usually gets posted here.
