Does anybody know how much 18185 charge for dialing 0844 number? Thanks

I don't think you can make a 0844 call with 18185.0

These providers don't generally allow 0844 (and 0871/09) calls, probably because there's no real way they can ever undercut the main providers.0

www.localphone.com offer access to 0844 numbers.0

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Can anyone tell me if Localphone.com completely over-ride one's main call provider,?
For instance I'm with Virgin Media, if I dial one of their local numbers via Localphone.com to reach a contact, am I charged a connection fee and the duration of the call at Virgin Media UK call rate - plus a connection fee?
Seems daft given Virgin Media's UK call rate is 10p connection and 6p per minute.
I'd be paying both if that's the case.0 -

Confirmed! This from localphone.com
"Yes you have to pay your supplier for the call to the Local access number for the full duration of the call. The only way around this charge is if the call comes out of your contracts free minutes or you call through the Localphone VoIP option."0 -
Calling geographical access numbers is only any good if you have inclusive 01/02/03 minutes.
http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php is often worth considering from VM via their 0808 Freephone Access Number.0
