PS3 and Home Plugs

Options
Hi all,
I have just got a home plug system so my son can connect his PS3. Everything connected fine, and it is working ok....But he keeps losing connection.

we think it seems to be when I am on line surfing downstairs and he is playing ps3 up stairs.

would my internet connection speed have anything to do with this, I am on a 2meg service. Or is there anything else it could be?

Thanks in advance

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
A 2 meg connection can be 'maxed out' no problem, especially if your viewing a lot of large pics or whatever
Also downloading (P2P) would create big problems
If you UPLOAD anything (pics, vids, files) to an email, facebook or wherever that will completely max out the line

There are lots of things that could be the cause but I seriously doubt that it is anything to do with the homeplugs which you've mentioned in the title. There is a PC utility which comes with them which you can use (on a homeplug connected PC) to check the various other homeplugs are connecting well.

Does your own connection seem to be OK? Can you check the router stats to see if there have been any disconnects at the ADSL level.
