Are they being phased out or are they just not promoting them ? I ask because they dont get a mention anymore on their latest website offering.

Still available but not being promoted as the weekend plan and anytime plan are more profitable.0

By increasing the cost of daytime calls and changing the definition of daytime ( to be 7am to 7pm) from April 1st they are hoping to drive E & W customers to the Anytime package - they can then drop E & W and increase the cost of the Anytime Package!
Cynical - MOI ??????0 -
I doubt you'll get an answer from BT here as their Reps are told to sell things (and sort things if possible).
Commenting on things that will hurt their business and remove smoke and mirrors is unlikely.0 -
Just ordered a BT landline yesterday and went on the weekend only package; I've just rung up to check if they can put me on the evening and weekend call package and it's a yes but have to wait for it to be activated to make the change (with no fee or change to the contract conditions) so definately worth asking for.
After seeing the awful reports on here though I got the operators name and what he said all written down just in case.

If you order a free evening and weekend call package, your be subject to a 12 month rolling contract.;)0 -
They are offering the anytime plan at £4.99 for 12 months where the first 3 months are free. Surely this is a good deal. The evenings and weekend plan was free for 12 months before but because I had to opt for free installation it cost me £2.99. I wondered if I would get the upgrade to anytime with the 3 months for free.
When I told the last rep they were advertising a higher cost of £5.99 for anytime on the free connection offer she said she knew nothing about such pricing and that it was possible to upgrade to anytime for £4.99.
I'm still waiting to get my online account sorted out and when it's running correctly I'll have a look again at the link to upgrade my call plan and see what it comes up with.
It will be interesting to see if they now extend the free connection offer beyond January 31st 2010.0 -

If your on the Free Line Connection offer you cant combine it with any other deal. You usually have to pay the full wack £5.99 a month.0 -
