  • Hi all
Congrats to the new bubba and yay for Tara's GD, sounds like another little fighter!
I'm doing ok, had meeting with my SW yesterday and it went really well, they are reviewing it as now I've moved.
She also said I can apply to the council I want too, so thats even more good news!
Hopefully have my new place by August when my tennancy runs out!
Got Aston a school place, going to have a look round tommorrow, I drove to where it is earlier and OH MY GOD! how posh!
A majority of houses on the road have gated driveways, it's on wiki describes it as an affluent area! there have been some very famous people living in the area too, we are going to stick out like a right sore thumb! :rotfl: I bet it's the type of school that people move house just to get their children into it.
I'm going to park my car at the local shops and walk the short distance to the school when I do the runs, I cant deal with the shame of rolling up in my battered old bright red ford escort that has 3 hubcaps, a strip from the side of a door and the rear view mirror missing!
    I'm actually dreading it :o

Took Edward to the paediatrician who thinks he still isn't putting on weight as he should be, so adjusted his meds but also told us to start him on solids from today, on baby rice to start off with, followed by veg and fruit in the old fashioned weaning way. As he's only 4 and a half months, I hadn't got anything in, so stopped off to buy provisions on my way home, when I was waylaid by a complete stranger in the queue to pay, who asked how old he was and proceeded to harrangue me about the evils of weaning before 6 months . Do you think its possible to get a T-shirt printed to say something along the lines of "Please look after your own children and leave me to look after my own as I see fit" :D

Anyway, the young man has taken to solids in a big way, and managed a huge bowl of babyrice this afternoon. He was so enthusiastic I thought he was going to bite the spoon in half!

...wanders off now to dig out the Annabel Karmel books to plan his meals for the next week...

How rude ! What did you say? We started Izzy bang on 17 weeks, on HV advice, as she was starving. You know your own baby and all that :)

Off the ventilator, woohoo!!! Have stopped the morphine too. She may need to go back on if she gets tired but at least we know her lungs are fine!

Can anyone give me an update??? Sorry. Will go back a bit!

Yay!!! Well done Poppy. DH says Yay too :)

Glaz - I didn't get round to replying before, but I'm glad you've found your creche :) You definitely know when you've found the right one - we visited a few, and they were ok, but when I went to our nursery I suddenly felt LOADS more relaxed about going back to work. To the point where if I won the lottery and didn't need to work I'd probably still take her to nursery a couple of days a week, as she enjoys it so much :)

Sounds like it is all going well. Is A looking forward to starting school? Does he have an extra smart uniform?

    :j:j:j Wonderful news!

Caz, is that an on-call doctor number? Is there anyone to sit with the others if you have to take him to get checked out? I'm sure he'll be fine, it's just a scare.

I realise I left this window open and forgot to actually reply, so I'm going to post, then go back and then edit this post if I've forgotten something.

    Good luck ladybird!!

  • not to bad here mm ... just thinking about finding an exercise class but im too scared to go on my own ..

    :hello: scruff you ok? x

My most favourite exercise class (in fact the only one I really like) is spinning. It's aerobics on exercise bikes and is such a good workout. You can feel the pounds falling off you, and because it's on bikes you don't have to feel weird being on your own.

    Good luck Ladybird!
