Morning all..
Just got to change Stinky Stephens here, then I'll be right with you weezl - though not sure I can add much to what Feelie's said. Will PM you my mobile number too though
BRB xx
ETA:
I think feelie said most of it, tbh - individual flapjacks and a sports bottle are great ideasMore SCBU related info really, but I'd say...
1. don't be scared of the machines; I know the nurses sound horrid, but do ask questions and find out what they're all for then they don't seem quite so scary
2. when DD is able to get DGD out of the inci (with nurses help), they often then suggest doing cares afterwards, then expect you to go express, claiming that holding baby will have helped, but it's kinda "worn off" by the time you finally get away (and "getting away" is horrid cos you don't want to leave!). I suggest don't feel guilty about going, leave Daddy to do cares sometimes and DD goes to express
3. One for tara to sort maybe, but for when DD can start having cuddles, a shirt would be good for DD to wear initially, so she can open it up and hold DGD close to her - skin-to-skin is highly recommended for both mum and baby. Once baby is stronger and not on so many machines, a low cut top several sizes bigger than normal is also good so DD can put DGD up the front of the top (DD braless underneath) and hold her close upright, iyswim.
Will keep thinking..0 -
Why does she have to have an op, bless them x0

hello sweetiemissed you
She's got a problem they knew about from before she was born where all of the tubes connecting her digestive system up together haven't formed properly, so she won't be able to eat and absorb what she feeds normally unless they do corrective surgery when she is very little. It's a shame it has to be done this early, but the op has a very high success rate even in babies who are very early

PS Weezl trying to PM you but your mailbox is full.... main thing to say is thanks and dont worry aboutMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Weezl...im struggling keeping up again at the moment. I dont know where my time goes but ive just seen your post re Tara's DD. I dont have much else to add to what you suggested apart from what has been added tho i do have loads of little premmie girls clothes that she's welcome to.
I know she wont be in clothes for a while but Rose seemed to be in them for ages and then grew so fast past that point. It seems a waste her having to buy some. I'll gladly pack them up and send them. I know all the other early babies on here were boys.
Let me know who you want me to send them to and i'll sort them out. Can you PM me as i am missing loads of chat xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
Tia, I actually asked the Nurse for A pump today as they are being moved down the hill tomorrow. The nurse said she will have to walk up to the hospital in the night to express as they don't have any pumps to lend. Now I've thought about all your comments, and I reckon this Nurse doesn't know what the hell she's talking about. I'gonna take all this up with the Matron tomorrow. Would have been just our luck to get the newby Nurse as this sounds ridiculous. Thanks for all your help. If I get nowhere I'm going to contact some of the people on your links Elle. XXX
omg!!! cant believe the treatment your DD is receiving at the moment. I hope the matron can get this sorted immediately for you.
*get stronger vibes* on the way from Jill, Karl and Kian
