    Tara,

I will be working in Bristol on Monday. I won't have a car, but if you can get to me, I'll be in North Bristol but I'm on a major bus route, I will spend today finding things that DD needs. I think I can get my hand pump back in time (mothercare brand), and some food for DD? Oats? I can make flapjack. What else does she need? Sadly I do not get a lunch hour, but if I did I would taxi to St Michaels with it. :)

Well it's taken me forever to catch up, and i bet i forget to say half of what i want too!

Glad that someones hubby is doing well (i'm really bad with names:o) fingers crossed he gets out of hosp ASAP.

Tara hope your DD and DGD are doing well, their treatment is unbelievable, i have no faith in the NHS now thanks to some shocking behavior/attitudes from snotty nurses, just as well the doc's are good. Thinking of them both.

Weezle that's a very nice thing to do, you must be a great friend to have IRL.

Read the posts on weaning and it brought it all back:eek: I have a while yet but i can remember DD and DS1 spitting food out and making the funniest of faces, DS1 was a bottomless pit by 9mths and still hasn't filled up and i have a feeling that Aiden may be the same!

Not looking forward to mothers day this year, my sis usually made my mum a card and wrote her poems etc and we would make her and my gran a fancy dinner. Perhaps I should take her out this year, gosh what to do for the best????

Beenie :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to you at having boob out with yellow coat men in your garden lol
Hugs to everyone that needs them,

ETA: wanted to say thanks to however it was that told beenie about the seahorse, i seen one when i was out on Friday and I'm so glad of the recommendation or i probably wouldn't have bought it, It occupied Aiden (and the dog:rotfl:) whilst i made his bottle and it has helped him to drift to sleep on his own too:T

which reminds me! Becles - how much did the new window cost if you don't mind? I want to get new windows in the boy's rooms ASAP as they're both rubbish and the cause of damp and mould - yuk!!

It was £450, but that included some brickwork being removed. The old window was only 40cm in high and didn't let much light in, so they took some bricks out and now it's about 80cm hight. The difference in light is amazing! Could have got it a bit cheaper elsewhere, but I've used this company before and they are fantastic. Felt happier paying a little extra for the reassurance that the job would go without a hitch - which it did!
For anyone worried about the temp in baby's room it is much more economical to get a small oil filled radiator to keep the chill off in 1 room only.

I had one of them when the boys were babies, with a timer plug. It came on after the heating clicked off and switched itself off when the heating came on. Josh was born in November and James early Feb, so it was good just to have it on low to keep the chill off the room.
Here I go again on my own....

Hello everyone, have done a quick skim of the last few pages (we're all sick and not going out to do tourist stuff today).

Tara how are your DD and DGD? What's happening with the pumping/not feeding her? Did you talk to the ward manager/matron? I hope everything's ok.

Nicki, I'm so sorry. I've only seen your follow up but that sounds so scary.

Everyone else, I've forgotten so please remind me if there's something important.

I've just been on FB, and my mother has defriended my husband. I'm not sure what to do, but I suspect she's only kept me on there so she can see pictures of Molly. I'm tempted to relieve her of the burden of having to interact with us altogether if she can't even manage to put him on hide and maintain a basic level of non-hostility.

Thoughts, anyone, if you have them and I'll check back later tonight? xxx

  • Morning,

Katie finally went back to sleep at about 2am - she wasn't a happy bunny as I wouldn't allow her into bed with us.

I've been up since 8am making honey flapjacks!

Katie has had her chocolate spread on toast with a side order of blueberries and has just wolfed down a fromage frais.

    Weezel - :kisses3:

I was looking to Asda's website earlier, and their present suggestions include camcorder, digital camera and ipod - !!!!!!?! For Valentines Day?!
I got an email from apple about val day, I was expecting it to show cheap stuff like cases, headphones etc but no it said something like "he loves you" with a pic of an ipod then "he loves you lots" with a pic of an ipod touch!!
If we bother with a gift it's a pair of novelty socks or pants usually!

SS - how many times have you looked at her friends list? I sometimes 'lose' friends from my list but they re-appear days later without me having to re-add them . I'm hoping it's just a glitch! I think it's incredibly petty to remove him if she has, OH's cousins are proper chavs but I'm still their friend on fb I just hide their posts so I don't see their effing and jeffing status updates smiley-rolleyes007.gif

    Thanks Becles

I've just had maccy's breakfast
