    Morning all

Came on last night to catch up and spent 2 solid hours engrossed in the discussion. For the first time ever, I didn't subconciously check C's video monitor between each post! I won't add my 2 penneth as it's nothing really that hadn't already been said.

NMS - didn't get to the pool cos I ended up in Bury with Ma and Pa (and waved to Jillie cos she's out that way :D)

MFD - hope all goes well with the op

Dora - poor you for the fall, hope you feel better soon

Weezl - all appointments are important to Mums, no matter how big or small

Beenie - I have 2 bottles of Infacol (one opened but only used once) if ya want them? Doc prescribed them for C but we had moved onto Gripe water by then and her screaming/colic only lasted three weeks so I'll never use them now. PM your address again cos not sure if I still got it.

Erm - can't remember if there was anything else - oh yeah, Yay Jayen clapping and Yay SM on reaching target weight

Hate mentioning people cos I then fel like I might have missed someone out!

    Hugs to all xxx

Oh I remember - Buttons you had me crying with laugher amongst the discussion with K peeing on your leg cos her nappy had ridden up her bum!!!!!

Knew I'd forget loads - Tara - thinking of you and yours xxx

    :)Still searching .....:)
  • Oh Buttons are you still talking to your MIL!! I am lucky that my ILs are 250 miles away although they stay in our house when they visit - usually only for a weekend tho.
Maybe keep poking your OH so he can see what its like!!! Sorry not much help for this as my OH is such a light sleeper that I have to be careful at night not to keep him awake.

My mum was telling me that I should try baby rice to help Tegan sleep, i gave in and said to buy some but when the pack said 4m+ I said I wouldn't after all and was relieved I had an excuse especially when my mum is so helpful.

I just got in the shower when T started her whinging cry (as I call it) so I just got on with it and talked to her whilst I was drying. i am now feeding again as that seems to be the only way to keep her quiet at the mo.

Does anyone else feel like they're going bald with the amount of hair coming out? My hands were almost covered with my hair when I washed it!!! Not sure how much longer before I run out of hair lol

Yeah when i lie her on her front she kicks her legs and arms as if she's trying to crawl haha. As much as it's good if she does end up being an early crawler, i have to say i do like knowing she stays where i left her :rotfl:

Jam - yes please! Thank you!!

SM i know, lol! Amber went to sleep at 11pm last night - i didn't get to sleep til 3am  because my mind was spinning. I managed to convince myself that he was dead and that's why he hasn't been in touch because last time i heard from him was via email and the ending line was something about he wants to top himself rolleyes-2.gif. And with his mother being such a moronic freak i know she wouldn't ring me and invite us to his funeral so i'd find out from my old workmates via the grape vine.
So i ended up having this horrible vivid dream that i had to go find his grave myself and it took hours and then i tried to dig him up LOL.

Think the tiredness has turned me into a bit of a neurotic freak/psycho.

Lack of sleep didn't help since a mam at the school was on about her mate whose baby died of cot death and said "well she had her in the bed with her, no wonder" - i was like errr, okay i don't think i'll be having Amber in bed anymore thanks for making me paranoid.

I'll stop being so morbid now. :A

I really can't keep up with this thread!

Aless - good luck with feeding.

I am having one of my worst mornings ever. Madam T decided she wanted to sleep in 1 hour stints from 8pm last night and would start crying as soon as she is lain in her cot. So spent most of last night feeding, holding a crying or sleeping baby and going up and down stairs I am absolutely shattered and she has been wide awake since 7am and wanting constant entertaining or feeding. I am getting annoyed and have had to try and calm myself down because she must be full from the feeds as she comes off on her own, she doesn't seem to want to sleep but she must be tired without her usual 6 hour stint. The most I have done this morning is put my nappies on to wash and made myself some toast. I am not even dressed. I have my "new parent group" meeting at 12 which I am counting down to (she slept the whole time last time), plus (luckily) my HV is coming to see me at 2. Might just nip out to the post office which is a short walk away if I can manage to get dressed!! Feel a lot better now having vented :D

Hope everyone else's LOs are behaving this morning......

Have you tried a swaddling blanket! I swear by ours!

There's a soft play area called The Giants Den on the Team Valley trading estate which is a few junctions further south than the Metrocentre. I haven't been for years, but the boys used to like it when they were smaller. It's got a huge play frame and a smaller toddler/baby play frame. There's a cafe and seating so you can get food and drink there.

    Hi all,

    Just catching up.
Giants Den or Metrocentre would be fine for me to get to. Dunno if i've missed any other ideas as only skim-read the last 40 pages!
