pakefield pontins..anyone been?

along with my other post for haven i am also enquiring about pontins...we are thinking of going here in august for a week...weknow this is half board....anyone been whats it like...any good etc?

I have never been to Pontin's before (going at Whitsun) but my mum spends about 5 weeks a year on the gold holidays there and loves it. The accomodation is quite old and basic, but clean. Food is plentiful and has some ok reviews. She loves the entertainment but obviously this would be very different to August. Nice swimming pool.

Pakefield is not too far from either Lowestoft (great beach), Southwold, Great Yarmouth and North Norfolk is within an hrs reach. They run coach trips from the camp but also there is a public bus stop to lowestoft outside. Africa Alive - a popular local zoo is a very short drive away and currenlty you can use tesco clubcard deals there. It is also worth keeping an eye on our local site www.tickred.com for 2 for 1 offers for restaurants/attractions etc.
