Hope someone understands that, basically i've gone into internet options and made all links that I click open in a new tab instead of a new window...but when I click the page goes to the new tab automatically. How can I remain on the same tab whilst the new tab opens?? The only other way i've found to do it is right clicking and selecting 'open in new tab' or pressing ctrl whilst a left click a link ?!

If your mouse has a wheel, click that. Just push it down until it clicks. Most people don't know the wheel is a button too.
If you don't have a wheel you can try pressing both buttons together, but this is trickier to do.
(Not sure which browser you are using. The above should work in Firefox and Internet Explorer )0 -

Yes, you need to do this too. Otherwise focus moves to the new tab.0
