Outlook express is not in win 7,it advises you to download windows live mail which is similar.0

Windows live is the way to go. You may be able to get from Windows updates.0

I have a similar problem. I am on Windows xp using Outlook 2000 (not Express) I want to migrate everything to Windows Live Mail. How can I get my mail etc over. I've managed the contacts with export/inport and I've got day to day new emails running OK. But I can't find a way of getting my hundreds of filed "old but relevant" mails over. Going via Outlook Express gets suggested elsewhere, and I can understand this might work as there is a transfer process within Live. But I'm on ie8 where it's not provided.
Any ideas ?0
