Scottish Gas Homecare rip off

Have had the HomeCare 100 for the last year, paying £11.50 a month. Renewal came in last week and it's up to almost £16 a month!! Phoned them to ask why the massive jump. First call centre woman said my £11.50 was an acquisition price and it was mentioned in the small print and I should read it. I had it open on-line while on the phone and saw no mention. Got to speak to her supervisor. Was then told the phrase acquisition price was for internal reference only and the first woman shouldn't have mentioned it!!! I said it wasn't in the terms and conditions. Why the rise I asked? Standard reassessment of our needs! Was instantly offered a 10% reduction which I declined. The online price for renewal is only £13. Was told I would have to cancel then wait 3 months before applying again to try to get that price but she couldn't guarantee. Nice lie from the first woman and poor service all round.
