Hi I have been having on going problems with Bt for some time, back in june 2009 I received my bill, and paid it early July, I then had problems with my line being restricted to it being put onto incoming calls only to being totally cut off, the reason I was told was non payment of my June Bill, I checked through my bank statements and yes it was showing as being paid, so I rang BT who said that this was not enough proof of payment and to get a copy of the cheque from my bank,
I then rang BT again and they asked me what was on the back of the cheque, the cheque clearly showed it had been cashed but the account number on the back was not mine , I gave them the account number and was told to post proof from the bank etc, as I was due to go on holiday I posted all items recorded delivery, now again whilst on holiday my phone gets cut off.
I ring them when I get back by now we are in October, they said as I hadnt paid my June Bill my phones been cut of, I stated I had proof that they received my letter which contained all proof of payment as I originally posted it recorded delivery, yet they say nothing has been received, this goes on until my complaint gets to what I was told was the high complaints dept in Warrington,
still nothing, yet I was told that my missing payment was being traced, then last week I gave up and posted it all to the chief executives office in London, but have not even been informed if my complaint has been received, now toady I receive in the post my June bill stating it has to be paid, I am getting so stressed with this I am totally at a loss what to do, all I know is that I refuse to pay my bill twice, again even if I send a bank statment I have been told this is not enough proof, I cannot gety the cheque back as my bank said it was the original cheque that they sent me last time, a cheque that cost me to get back in the first place, please any advice will be really appreciated.:mad:
