Back garden ideas?
Anyone got any ideas or know of decent webiste with ideas for developping gardens? I dont mean building on them. I mean for decking, fences, water features etc.
I'm trying to design a new garden layout for my house but nothing I can think of either looks good or is affordable.
I have cut down litterallly 30 odd trees last summer to clear the land and now have a rather muddy strip of bare land about 30 meters long and 12 wide, and I have no idea what to do next. (getting a stiump grinder round in the spring)
I'm thinkning turf most of it and build a patio between where the grass stops and house starts, but i want it to be different and interesting.

I'm in the process of designing my back garden. Luckily a chap at the squash club is a landscape gardener, so he's done a plan for me. You could get someone in cheap to do this for you. The BBC website has a package that allows you to design a garden. Otherwise, it's looking in books to get some ideas. I wouldn't have known where to start if it wasn't for my mate doing me a professional plan - everything I did just didn't look right or at least I didn't have the confidence that I was doing the right thing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/design/
