Aberdeen-Edinburgh by train.How much?

I know it should be a simple thing to find out but I have been on various websites and the number of different types of tickets is bewildering.
All I want to do is go to Aberdeen station ticket office and buy three adult day returns to Edinburgh.I will be travelling one day next week and plan to leave Aberdeen at around 7.30 am and depart Edingburgh at around 6pm.Obviously I would like to do it as cheap as possible.I would rather not buy in advance just in case our plans change.Anyone know how much I can expect to pay?

advance purchase apex should be cheapest.Trouble is there are so many variables when pricing a ticket. I got a price of over £300 to Birmingham once.
However next Tuesday is around £30 each via trainline

If you are travelling at that time you will pay peak fare, don't know prices i'm afraid, try Scotrail or trainline for prices or ask at the station.
