Booking/Buying Theatre Tickets (Her Majesty's Theatre London)

Does anyone have any tips on booking and buying London theatre tickets.....
Is it possible to buy directly from the venue? I was trying to find out if there was a box office at Her Majesty's Theatre (Haymarket) but i just got sites for several of those touting agencies who are often charging ridiculous booking fees that can be as high as £10-15.
I also heard a rumour that there is some kind of half price box office in Leicester square.........but the words half price and London theatre tickets together doesn't sound realistic.
Any help or advice at all appreciated...........thanks!
