Ok, so sorry for being blonde and a girl lol, but on the screen it doesn't have a remove button, I have Scan, fix checked, info on selected item, Analyze this, main menu, info, config, add checked to ignore list..... so, have I done something wrong??

Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

Ok, sorry to be a pain but... in the HijackThis thingy, when it performs a scan, it says it can't open the hosts file and tells me to right click and run as administrator, but when I right click on the icon, the option to run as administrator doesn't appear. Also, when it tries to create a log file, it says a log file does not exist, do you wish to create one now? I click yes and it simply opens a blank page on notepad. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Press and hold the SHIFT key as you right click (Might not have the word 'administrator' but RUN AS should then appear)

Ok, but can I ask, what am I doing and why am I doing it? Are these files compromised?

All the '(no file)' ones are dead entries
All the others are not required except for the 2 HKUS ones which are either very dodgy or mcafee has removed them at some point

Combofix will show me a much more detailed report (And remove anything dodgy it finds)

Ok, been trying to download the combofix, last night it didn't install it properly and I couldn't run the program. This morning it keeps being deleted by Mcafee because it sees it as a trojan.... do I need to turn Mcafee off before I download it?

HJT scan indicates that the OP is still running Vista (no SP1 or SP2), so Windows auto updates is turned off and updates at least 2 years out of date (SP1 was released early 2008)?
