Think Norwich Union is pretty much the cheapest provider. Have a look on Money Supermarket to compare accurately.0

i never got around to doing anything about this and have started thinking about it again...
... anyone got any recommendations - only really interested in payout on death - but if it's only going to be a couple quid extra for extra cover - please give me your suggestions.
cheers

Was it really a year ago we did this? Still think you would be wasting your money

so what would you recommend?
same as you said before?:dunstonh wrote:For a couple of quid more a month, an under 25 could get much more cover and on full life protection and not just accidental. £7.50 gets a 23 year old over 100,000 for 25 years.
I'm currently living in the most violent country in the developed world with the 2nd highest murder rate in Europe - so want the peace of mind
(still no other particular reason for it though) 0 -

Is it really that bad here statistically?
Accidental death wouldnt cover being killed as a result of violence. Its all about getting knocked down by a bus etc.
I would stick with the same. Full life cover (level term assurance or family income benefit) and review it again in April when pension term assurance comes back into play (get tax relief on those premiums).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). "Scotland has been named the most violent country in the developed world by a United Nations report.
The study found that, excluding murder, Scots were almost three times as likely to be assaulted as Americans."

"Scotland has the second highest murder rate in western Europe and Scots are more than three times more likely to be murdered than people in England and Wales, according to a study by the World Health Organisation."
