Where are you going first? As you can appreciate the packing list is quite different in Bognor Regis than it is in Hawaii.

Not daft at all. I always take

a first aid kit, (steri-strips, antiseptic wipes, plasters, pain killers, imodium, anit histamines, etc)
    sun cream,
    books/magazines?
    photocopies of passports and insurance
wipes to cool yourself down at airport etc
picnic for at the airport (soo expensive otherwise)
    bottled water for the plane

there are others but can't think right now

My goodness me, Clara - you take 20 different items for your hair?

I take a bottle of shampoo and a brush ;) Add a deodorant and some shower gel and I'm good to go.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
