Spar/Vivo Kappa luggage flight offer

Can anyone advise if the new offer is any good?
It seems to be that for every £5 spent you get a stamp and when you collect 10 stamps and buy some luggage you get a return European flight where you only pay for taxes.

I was intending on booking flights to Barcelona in April and the dates seems to be ok with regards to their T&C's so just hoped someone on here could advise whether it is worth waiting to collect the stamps and get the flight that way, or just to book it now as the flights are £91 with Easyjet.

Maybe someone here works for Spar/Vivo....

I nearly posted about this last nite! Saw in my Spar and, like you, can't decide if a good deal or not! Searched the internet for comparative prices on the luggage but can't find it anywhere! As for flights - there is no mention of which airline these are with and some have considerably higher taxes and charges than others! I'm going to Barca in May and paid £69 per person through EasyJet. Their taxes are not too bad but flybe are much higher. Their sale was recently on and all flights 'free' just paying taxes and charges - it still cost my mum £58 return cardiff to Belfast though! Sorry I have no real advice - will watch this thread with interest!

It seems only Easyjet and Aer Lingus fly direct from Belfast to Barcelona so it has to be one of those two.
I'll maybe try to find out what they tax charges are and if that plus the cost of the luggage is less than the ticket i suppose it should be an ok deal.
There is a range of luggage and i'm not sure if you have to buy certain ones from it to get certain flights.
I would just buy the cheapest which is £14.99 i think, or if the 19.99 one is within regs for hand luggage then maybe it.

Sent off my first booking form and apparently it got lost in the post.
When i called to find this out, i was told to get the ref number from the form and call back with it and they would pass it on to the accounts manager to sort it out.
When i got the number and called back they said that the accounts manager would be in touch.
3 days later they finally got back to me to say that i would have to go back to the shop and get another form as they couldn't accept the ref number!!
They just wanted the number for their records in case it ever did arrive.
Pity they didn't tell me that initially as i could have got a new form when i went back to the shop.
Sent my second one special delivery, at a cost of 4.95, and it should be with them today.
Ill update this when i know if the deal is worthwhile or not.

I have been saving all the stamps - but just wondering whether or not the flight thing actually works?

i returned my luggage and am not getting the flight.
They were quite restrictive with the flights on offer and, unsurprisingly, would only offer flights that had higher taxes which suited them.
i.e. Aer Lingus taxes were about £50 of the flight cost, easyjet taxes were about £12 so they wouldn't offer Easyjet to me.

It might work out better for you but it just didnt for me.
Make sure you send the stamps and your receipt off recorded delivery and ask them to return your receipt if the flights don't suit.

I have sent away my 5 boarding passes and requested Nice in July I supplied 3 potential departure dates and they came back to me to say there was nothing available for those dates. I then asked what dates were available to which they replied 26th June! that is when the kids are still in school so they are probably hoping that I will not avail of them. I have sent a further email today asking if this offer is just a scam and asking why I cannot get flights that I have requested. Hopefully I will get a quick response......I will keep you all posted.

You should go into the spar/vivo you got the stamps in and complain to them.
the owner of my local spar heard i wasn't happy with what happened me and asked me to give them a letter which he brought to the henderson group and then it was passed on the the promotions company.
They really pushed the promotions company into offering me my flight even though they said they hadn't done anything wrong, which is technically true.
The Spar just said that I, as their customer, should get what i wanted.

Have to say this reminds me of the Hoover flights offer a number of years ago. If I remember correctly there was a class action type thing that eventually found that Hoover were in the wrong. No idea of the outcome but maybe if more people note their interest on here, if there are a large number who don't get what they were expecting then a similar thing could be done again.

Hi , i also was interested in this offer,so what i done was before sending anything off in the post i rang and asked if the flights i wanted were available which they were @ £60 Taxes(at the time of the phone call) so ive posted away the boarding pass ect and im just waiting on them ringing me.
Fingers crossed £60 return to majorca in july as the flights they offered me cost around £245 throughh easyjet

Alas 2 weeks later and they say they didnt recieve my postage,I did send via recorded delivery but stupidly lost my tracking code .So back to the spar to get a written reciept and new code and try again.
