i used to love my Nanna's dumplings, never made them myself don't know how to, i'm a bit hopeless arn't i? lol

mam asked dr to do a repeat on my painkillers yesterday whilst she was seeing her, and she said yes she would but wants to see me as soon as i have had my back scan. just phoned dr to see if it was done and she must have forgotten :(, so i've got to go and see a different dr on fri morning 9.30. plus be in blackwood by 11.30 to get mam to councelling.

Plus i still haven't a clue when my friends funeral is yet :((my luck it will be fri)

Pooky hope ds gets better soon and hubbys not in too much pain :(

All I've got left is my readings nd a poem, but I'm not in the mood to write and I'm just bored...what can I do? *interwebnoms the peanuts.....then wheezes as face goes red*

Dumplings are easy Claire - use twice as much flour as you use suet ( I normally use 3oz suet, 6 oz flour) add what ever herbs or spices you want (I shall be adding loads of paprika, cumin, some ceyene pepper and some corriander), mix well and keep adding water slowly until it forms a dough....make balls of the required size. I add them about an hour before I want to eat if I'm doing them in the SC (they don't go all cruncy but do swell up well) and if I'm doing an oven based dish then I pop them in about half an hour before I'm eating.

We're big dumpling fans in this house.
