Did someone say find and chips??!! I'm there! :D :rotfl: Fish and chips followed up with a Greggs ice-ringed doughnut    God, i'm hungry!!!

Well done on cleaning your garden solventsoon, it's toooo flipping freezing for me to venture out there! The birds like it wild anyway :p.
The birds in my garden are looking a bit disgusted at the moment, coffee-break, it's far too tidy for them..........
The fish and chips were great, really enjoyed them after a hard afternoon's work... skipped the doughnut though :D
    Good afternoon everyone
NSD 6/20 for me lol. What a miserable attempt this month, but pleased to say that it is still No Smoking Day 6! No problem, will have to try harder at the NSDs next month! ;o)
    Cheers

Had a large blip last weekend (our ancient jack russell has gone missing, still not found ) so all moneysaving etc went totally out of the window.

I'm so sorry to hear that katenut and really hope he turns up soon x

Happy :heartsmil Peeps! The Offspring's dad had a little win on the lotto so brought me a bag of chocolate raisins when he came round yesterday. I was tempted to tell him where he could shove'em but--it was chocolate cool4.gif :rotfl:
So what are your potential stumbling blocks folks?
Turn down chocolate BigMumma - unheard of :rotfl::rotfl:

Potential stumbling blocks in my case are:
    1. going out of the house
    2. going out of the house
    3. going out of the house
I need to stay inside to avoid spending and not pick up the phone (I don't do online shopping) . Luckily I work from home so don't go past shops and get distracted/tempted.... but when I do go out I have serious spend days :o:o

    Hi everyone
Well, as I didn't go out of the house today (muscles aching after too much gardening yesterday and feeling sorry for myself) I managed another NSD :j.

Hang on in there everyone, you're all doing great. Just remember that any NSD is a victory for you even if you don't make your target. February is a short month and, for those of you with kids, half-term isn't going to help.

Well done everyone and hugs to anyone needing one.

Thanks for the kind words Solventsoon and Casperthefriendlyghost - sadly still no sign of the dog, we're all gutted. The worst thing is seeing our other ancient dog moping around the house.
Well done on the non-smoking Casper - I gave up at New Year and am really feeling the benefits now! Food has never tasted so good :)
I've been sent over to one of our quieter branches today - I'm sat at my desk trying to resist the urge to go and buy one of the yummy hot sausage rolls from the bakers next door, it is the only thing standing between me and a NSD!
Well done everyone, keep up the good work! xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....

Day 5 for me - only 14 days to get another 10 NSD's in - oops!! Only my second month tho - I'm trying to plan meals but keep running out of stupid things like onions, which seems to end up spending over a fiver in the shop. Had a large blip last weekend (our ancient jack russell has gone missing, still not found ) so all moneysaving etc went totally out of the window.
Well done to everyone, keep up the good work!!
It seems a lot of us are stumbling a bit this month--me included--& as you've said, there are very exceptional circumstances for you :o Just wondered if you had a scheme in your area that the vets do around here, where they put out the info on missing pets among other surgeries; summat like that. I'm pretty certain our pet insurance also pays something towards advertising too...
I posted on this month's Grocery Challenge about spending a tenner on 'a pint of milk' _pale_ so again--you're not alone! It really makes me wonder how my mum used to cope back in the days when the shops were open 9-5:30 Mon-Sat & closed for lunch & half day on a Weds & there were no credit cards or over-draughts to help out till pay day. But then I suppose, you were paid in cash AND once a week, so maybe budgeting was easier.

1.Broke my own NSD rules today, so a spend for me - ended up going to two different shops for groceries (only because I knew Farmfoods had a megga special offer on milk, bread and loo roll - so I stocked up with two weeks worth). I over spent on groceries too, however, think I've almost got enough to keep me going for a fortnight, so should be okay. Might need to start watering down the milk again though!

2.When payday comes around, I'm going to change the way my 'month' works, as I get paid on the last Thursday of the month, so could be the last day, but more often than not, it's some other random day - and that's the way the finances seem to work better - I'll finish off Feb up until then, but don't think I'll get to 18, but will keep trying!!!

3.Other spends today included church plate, SVdP donation and a couple of house DIY bits and bobs as part of my "make my house better" scheme!

See you all tomorrow, and well done to those keeping on track.
    1. Sounds like it was an offer too good to pass up on :) I wish there were stores like H0me B@rgains & F@rm F00d$ around here :( Our closest MrA is a 45min drive each way & Ald! is even further, altho we do have a couple of L!dl we can get to with a car.
    2. A lot of folk do the Grocery Challenge from pay-day>pay-day, so please feel free to do whatever makes it easier for you.
    3. I fear it will take a team of Kim & Aggies three years to make my house better, plus a couple of Lawrence llewelyns & a smattering of the boys from DIY-SOS:rotfl:

I'd love to not go out of the house, but I have uni! Won't be an NSD for me today as I need to get an inner tube for my back tyre, and then I can pootle on my way to the station.
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I'm still on just 2 NSD, 12 more to go. I'm going to have a good read through of this thread now for inspiration ;)
