I have worked out a weekly budget £40 gave my sis my credit cards, took the £40 out of the ATM then put the debet card in the freezer-only going to de-frost it on Sat:)
Feels that I'm at the start of a very long road but at least I'm heading in the right direction. hope to bust my pleadge!!!
  • I only managed 16 NSDs last month and am pledging 20 again this month. Am gonna try my hardest especially as there's only 24 days left until my next payday. I have a weekend away from next Friday till Sunday, so will just have to work hard at NSDs for the rest of the month.

    Cheers

    Please can I join ?

I can't do complete no spend days as I pay train fare every day to get to work as it is cheaper to do it daily and I would feel a fraud saying it was a NSD when I was paying this ;)

What I would like to do though are NSD's where I dont buy coffee (damn you Costa :o) and lunch on the way to work or groceries that we really don't need !! So really any unecssary spends - I am hoping this will save me a fair amount as just coffee and lunch comes to £5.50 a day  I am sure I am capable oif making a sandwich or some soup !! I also get free tea/coffee at work but I just cannot resist Costa Latte !!

So I work term time and in Feb I expect to be working 13 days this month as term time only and on Mon/Tue I am not in as I need to see the Dr to make sure the Shingle I have had have cleared up :(

So I am going to aim for 10 days in Feb a it is my 1st month and I am afraid if I really fail then I might not bother again

    So . . . . .
10 NSD'S IN FEB ON WORK LUNCHES, COFFEE AND EXTRA SHOPPING !!

Hope this is ok and that I am allowed to join :j

Hi everyone, only an hour and 10 mins until Feb starts and the new challenge begins! I'm already trying to work out what to 'make' to take as a girly gift on Friday to friends dinner night in, to stop me from going to the shop and buying a bottle of wine and box of chocs! My beautiful Arran Aromatics bath set has already been errrr re-allocated for MIL's birthday prezz (it's ok, I've got so much already) xx

welcome tashja, you make the rules as to what is a NSD, and if i was you, i wouldnt count train fare either.
Im counting anytime i open my purse/use a card as a SD whether its shopping or a chippie tea lol

Anyhoo im just saying that is gonna be a mahoosive spend day today, as PIL tickets go on sale at 12, and they normally sell out within an hour and half,
so cross fingers for me eveyone i can get through and buy buy buy lol
i also might as well get my leeds lions ticks and NABD too, well if im gonna spend might as well make it big lol
(these are all motorbike rally ticks btw),
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

You're very Welcome Tash & as long as you know what are spend days for you, then that's all that matters :D I've underlined the bits I'm hoping fellow Challengees will read, so I hope you don't mind my borrowing your bit :p

Those exclusive Twinks HobNobs are generally well received, or have a look on the Celebrations threads for Home Made Sweeties. I'm going to have a go at a block of Before 9 ;) with melted value dark chocolate & bashed up value mint imperials  for BIL b'day...if I can leave the mints alone that is :o
