I don't blame anyone... I was very happy to find one that suited my fee-free stoozing purposes

I'm determined to fight this one out... will let you know how I get on.
The T&Cs they originally sent me definitely show the fee terms as you quoted them, so I think I have a good case.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Frivolous Fay - Really sorry to hear about all your difficulties with the application as it was myself that recommended the card to you initially. I had no such problems myself, although I have received a letter recently from the Bank Of Scotland explaining that the GOS card administration is being transferred to MBNA, so whether that has anything to do with your problems, I'm not too sure.
Is GOS the Great Ormond Street card? I have just taken out one of these about a month ago, but was not aware they are moving it to MNBA

Yes, that's correct, Mrs W.mrsw wrote:Is GOS the Great Ormond Street card? I have just taken out one of these about a month ago, but was not aware they are moving it to MNBA
I received a letter from them explaining that "the transfer of your account to MBNA is expected to take place by May 2007. Until then Bank Of Scotland will continue to operate your account on behalf of MBNA and you will notice no changes, due to this transfer, in the way that your account is run.".
The letter is dated July 2006.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60

Update for those interested....
Hooray for Tracy! I've been busy and away on holiday so only today got around to wondering what the situation was with the Halifax / GOS / Fee-free / Not fee-free card.
I rang up and went through the history... pointing out it had been four weeks since Tracy had told me 5-10 days :rotfl: The lady checked the file and it confirmed what I was telling her. Then she looked at my balance and told me a fee hasn't been applied... and if it was going to it should definitely have gone on by now. I asked when I would receive a statement (I want this in writing!
) and she said it should be in the post now.
So I think we've won the fight!
Oh... and some more good, if odd news... due to the delay getting the new BT card I was expecting to incur some interest on my &MORE card. However, despite the BT not hitting the account until at least two and a half weeks after the 0% period expired, when I received my statement, there was no interest on it. (And it now has a positive balance as I loaded it a bit in anticipation of interest)
So  and :j all round
P.S. They also invited me to apply for their 7% regular savings account which sounded like it might be an OK deal.
Off to check it out with La Lewis... My TV is broken!
