    Afternoon ladies!

Goodness me where is everyone today!?

CD 24 here and I am very slowly losing my PMA and chilled out mood that I have had over the past couple of weeks. Its my DD's 3rd birthday today which is really exciting but of course I am now getting "when's your next one coming along" feel like a bit of a failure :o

My friend in work is pregnant and I am totally delighted for her as it hs taken her a long time to fall pregnant (3 and a bit years) after her ectopic pregnancy and in all honestly I'm excited to be talking about her baby and scans and baby things because I know how hard it has been for her but little things like today she was speaking to her mum on the phone and her Mum was saying she has bought some babygros and vests and what a tug at my heart I had :(

Anyway I really don't want to go another cycle without knowing exactly when I'm ovulating, would love a CBFM but at the mo its a bit pricey so think I will start off with the sticks. I am a complete novice to these so how does it work and how many will I need?

Hope everyone is ok, at least it is near the weekend.

Take care all and SBD xx

Hey bigsis we're cycle buddies. Sorry for the BFN but it is a wee bit early. Ok I'll own up I tested today too :p which was really stupid......but my reasoning behind it was that it would be nice to have a bfp on my DD's birthday :o If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have bothered and I don't intend testing again promise:D

Hey Teenie - it is quiet on here isn't it!!

Don't lose you PMA - now is the time you need to hang onto it!!

Do you chart your temps at all? A thermometer is the cheapest tool you can buy and charting CM through the month is also a good way of detecting when you are/about to OV?

I'm glad for your friend at work, 3.5 years is a long time but I understand you're feeling down too. Chin up sweetie.

    Thanks hun x

No don't chart or anything, I thought I knew when I ovulated as I get quite bad ovulation pains. This is why I thought I would "fall" quite soon. Personally I think the problem is we are not BD'ing enough? We are obviously missing the right time. Do you chart temps?
Actually am I the only one on here who doesn't use anything?

Will look into the charting my temp then and see how I get on with that.

Better get back to doing some work i suppose, my tray in overflowing after my hol but just can't get into it (work that is not the tray :D).

  • Hi all,

Just to let you know, I have some good news for you all, and some bad news for you all...

First, I suppose, has to be the bad news. My wife's booked in for a D&C next Monday, so that shall be a bundle of laughs for us... not! Hopefully it will help us to close the book on MC#1, and allow us to start all over again...

The good news is that hopefully a "few" weeks later, things will settle down and we can rejoin the TTC club, and see how long it will take us to have another MC... erm, I mean, find a sticky bean...!

Take care, keep up the PMA and all that... and for today's song, in case nobody's suggested anything, given the way things have gone in the past few weeks... (and sorry about the singers, they weren't that great, I know)

Say you will say you won't (my comment: have a baby, that is)
Say you'll do what I don't (my comment: I say you'll be fine, she says she'll MC)
Say you're true, say to me c'est la vie (my comment: certainly is a case of c'est la vie, this whole baby making thing!!!)

(and for those who are in the process of DTD, go back to the chorus ;))

Gotta let me in, hey, hey, hey
    Let the fun begin hey
I'm the wolf today hey, hey, hey
    I'll huff I'll puff
I'll huff I'll puff and blow you away
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...

:) loving the song choice WW2B. I'm sorry to hear about your news but am liking your posetive attitude towards TTC in the future. Your wife must really appreciate your uplifting thoughts and comfort. I wish you both all the luck for future and hope everything goes as well as it can Monday.

TeenieD - it's hard when people keep falling pregnant aorund you but your posetiveness towards your work mate is lovely and I bet she feels great having you around to discuss things with her :) Happy Birthday to your DD too :)

I try to think posetively when people/friends ect fall pregnant aorund me by thinking when they have had their baby and back from maternity leave ect I'll have it all to come and waiting longer for it to happen means I've still got it all to look forward too.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend, I'm off camping tonight so won't be around till Monday. Hoping I son't ov over the weekend as can't see us getting much BD'ing in and I can't rely on my temps so much when sleeping in a cold field!!

Enjoy yourselfs ladies and catch up next week :)
