Thanks for the welcomes, just been to get some folic acid to start taking and a couple of tests for the cupboard :)
Just make sure you don't use your tests until AF is due:money:
It is amazingly hard to do, but good luck:p

I'm horrendous for testing early, I always find if I test in an evening, the next day AF arrives, or if I test in the morning, AF arrives mid morning. It's as if she is waiting back stage watching to make her grand entrance.... so frustrating and not very MSE!!!
  • Hello ladies, Can I join too please?

We are TTC #2 as my son is now 17 months old and we'd like quite a close age gap. I have very irregular periods (had 2 since my son!) I have suspected PCOS, getting some bloods taken on monday so hoping to find out more soon. I fell pregnant with my son after 6 months of no contraception last time although we were not actively trying, I was always convinced I couldn't have babies as my periods have always been very few and far between.

We've been using no contraception now for 2 months but I've not had a period for 2 and a half months!

I've been lurking reading this thread everyday now for about a month so feel like I know all you ladies already :)

    Hi and welcome Greener Grass:wave:
I have PCOS, just recently found out. I hope you don't have it, but if you do, there seems to be treatments available so don't worry.

My doctor said Soy Isoflavones will work to bring on AF (if it has been absent for a long time).

I took it instead of Clomid before I went to the doctors. He wasn't impressed, he prefers Clomid:o

Hi everyone. I haven't managed to read back properly. I scanned it and saw some have sad news, so big hugs to you.

Hi Femmes and GG and welcome.

Not much to report today, not as bad on the meh feeling but still not totally sparky! I've been getting v painful af symptoms, pretty similiar to before I took the pill. It was my bad pains that got me onto it to begin with and now I'm remembering why. Boo hoo. How can the poo memories fly back so easily :(.

OH has already (totally without subtlety!) declared that tonight is a nookie night. This tends to bring AF on so I suspect I'll be double moaning tomoz. However, on a plus note, from memory my af symptoms tend to vanish fairly quickly as soon as the witch arrives. Every cloud and all that. I'm cd27 so in a way I hope the stupid witch turfs up within the next few days so I can start to get to know my average cycle. Obviously a BFP would be far better but it's extremely early days and I never get luck like that.

Turning into a positive, another month of practice also means another month of stashing some money by ready for my mat leave :) (hopefully?!).

Rights, as I'm being so moany tonight I won't post again this eve so I don't bring you lot down. Lots of happy posting to lurk at from afar will be good though ;).

I hope you have a good eve. xx

    Bring on the BFPs

Hello Femme and Greener Grass
LOL thanks Lemon. Last time I was pg with m/c baby and we told her, she said "was it planned?"

When I 'came out' as pg last time, I was amazed at the number of people who said "Congratulations!!! Was it planned?"

I didn't take offence because it was asked positively by supportive people; but I just remember thinking OMG surely that is not appropriate!!

But the frequency of this suggested that maybe it was!

In one case, a lady's ten year old daughter had strong words with her afterwards, and the lady came back to apologise to me :rotfl:
