Computer keeps shutting down but it's completely dust-free inside, and malwarebytes has not shown up any viruses. The motherboard and fan was replaced about 4 months ago. Anyone got any other ideas?

Have you checked in the bios to make sure the temperature trip is not set too low.
Or it could be your power supply cable from your PSU to motheboard is not seated properly.
Or it could be a software problem in the bios. You can search the motherboard venders website to see if others have a similar problem and if it is the bios. If so you might want to upgrade the bios.
Or, is the CPU making good thermal contact with the CPU. Are you using the correct thermal paste (sorry I don't remember the correct techy term).0 -
All of the above. Temperature is generally the killer.
If all that is fine then you could check if your PSU is of sufficient power. Did you upgrade anything else with the mobo and fan?0 -
Is this at random times or is it fairly consistant? Are there any OS alerts being created or blue screens.
I saw this problem recently on one of the Nforce chipset platforms. Heat was my first guess and heat it was but not from the CPU which caused the odd head scratch and small cloud of blue, it was the southbridge chipset.
Was taking 5-10 minutes with almost no pf usage before it died. Still agree with Scotishblondie...hot hot hotComputers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.0
