    Exchange & mart

Definately not Ivor Searle, Have you seen their prices?

Or just take yours to get reconditioned by a local engineers but that will include a bit of downtime.

ivor searle mainly supply the trade but also the public but most of their sales are to the trade, build qualty is second to none, and most quotes from them include the surcharge wich is refunded when they recieve your old engine.

if you take to a local engineers or not youll still have downtime, you could try trawling the salvage yards for an engine.

in any case your looking at a quite a bit of money.

hope all goes well and you find what your looking for.

All I know is, when I wanted an engine that Ivor Searle didn't have in stock he said he would look for one (not reconditioned - from scrap yards) he came back to me with a rediculous price of about £1K and said it would only have 3 month warranty. If I went to a scrappy myself I wouldn't pay more than £400 for an engine so they are sourcing an engine at trade rates and then adding on well over £600 finders fee and offering a pittance of a warranty to boot. Rip off merchants!

Obviously there is downtime in any event but the downtime of a straight engine swap is only a few hours. downtime of a recon is going to be at least 5 days.
