    I would assume a combination of two factors:

    1. Our combined entertainment at the use of the English language may have been taken as an attack - and if it was, I for one would like to give my apology as I did not intend for it to be taken as such. I enjoy playing with words and grammar - it's why I studied Philosophy at university. I do understand that other people do not take such satisfaction.

    2. He has what he needs and was not overwhelmingly impressed by the response on the forum towards his preposition and so decided, somewhat selfishly, to remove his thread. In doing so he failed to grasp how the forum works and so is unaware he can delete his individual posts in their entirety.

    It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

    Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.
