Placed 2 separate orders 2 weeks ago based on the rave reviews they've received on this website (and using two different codes). No sign of the goods but have just received an email saying that one of the free gifts I was entitled to (an airbed) has been returned to the warehouse!

I certainly didn't return it as it never arrived! Not happy with these people at all. 2 weeks for delivery (although still no sign) and then a !!!! up like this.

Won't be using Empire Stores again!

i work as a courier for empire and the only time parcels have to be returned is if the address is incorrect or the parcel is refused. are you sure you gave them the right address ??

Yes, I checked it with them and it was correct.

I recently bought a camcorder from Empire, and got an email asking me to phone them as my delivery address was different from my invoice address. I rang up, explained I worked 9-5, explained the post depot closed in the afternoon, and that delivery to my retired parents would best suit.

No problem, he said, then put me through to the guy that emailed me. He then tried to flog me insurance cover for the Item ! The cheek of it. Wasting time on a spurious call so he can attempt to flog me something that if I'd wanted it, i'd have already bought it!
