Vanuis Bank/Card

Options
Hello.

I would like to advise people who have been turned down by vanquis bank, they will pass your details on to a credit broker who will charge you from £40 just to send you letters to find you a loan/credit card. I would be aware that these people are scams and they pray on pelople who cannot get credit as i applied a few months a go and i get caught in there tracks i paid £60 + a donation to a chairy but whjen i asked for a refund they only gave me £22.50 back as they said the rest are for admin charges. you never get your full money back as i was told that no one would give me a credit card as only got turned down once, be aware that CGS are scams and other companys who want a fee just to find you a card i would'nt recommend just put the phone down.

I had delaings with these mugs, lucky I manages to get my fees back, they guarantee you a card, or so they claim, but all they do in reality is send you information on credit cards and let you apply yourself! total rip off!

Why anyone would pay a company to get you a credit card is beyond me. After all, what would they apply for that you couldn't?
  • nearly all credit card companys are doing it, it strikes me that they are getting away with it. they are targenting the people with poor credit history and they will not take no for a answer, i have learnt my lesson i hope people take the advice.

Nearly all? Really? Could you name names?

And they can take no as answer. Just say the word and keep repeating it.

I got a letter from Vanquis today offering me a card - at 39.9%.

Thought ths was a loan shark rate? Fed it to recycling bin.

I've personally found the Vanquis card very useful. I was granted one only six weeks after being discharged from bankruptcy.

I clear in in full each month so the APR is irrelevant - I don't pay interest - but it is damn useful for helping me to slowly rebuild my credit rating after a BR order and is the only way for me to get S.75 protection on purchases.

There is a market, and it is a very good card for that market, if used properly.

If anyone called me offering me a preapproved card if I paid a fee I'd tell them that if they called again or passed my details to anyone else I'd sue them for damages for breaching the Data Protection Act and Telecommunications act.

And I would. I have no hesitation commencing legal proceedings against crooks like this and anyone can say no. It's easy. No. There I said it.

And in any case, I was paid to get my Vanquis card. £25 by Quidco.
