Has anyone dyed faded black clothes black?

after reading this thread, i've decided to dye black my OH favourite trousers that arent black anymore.
is it about one dyelock pack, per item, say something like 500g per sachet
if i do 2 items, do i use 2 packs, or do them individually0 -
Oh yes, it works! Really useful when the clothes are in good condition other than being faded.
Another thing I've done, after accidentally bleaching a pink topwas to leave it to soak with a red blouse that looses a lot of colour everytime it's washed. I kept swishing them round to get an even colour then took it out when I'd got the colour I wanted. Now my pink top is pink again and I didn't have to fork out for any dye

How about dying loose sofa covers a different colour, I have got yellow ones i want to dye a different colour, worried about colour transferring to clothes when sat on it.now mum of 4!!!0
