Transferring debt.

My son has run up a credit card debt and his 0% rate has finished he cannot get another card as he has recently moved , is there a way I can get a card in my name and transfer his balance on to it? He is having to pay 32% now and it is crippling him, it will take him years to pay it all back. Any suggestions please?

    yes of course you can

if you can get a CC with a low rate (or even 0%) with an option to BT then you can transfer the debt from his card to yours.
do be sure though that now the debt will be yours and if he can't pay you they will pursue you solely for the debt

Transferring the balance to your card won't prevent him from rebuilding a debt on his own card.
