Re-Installing I-Tunes ?

Whenever I log onto I-tunes I get a message pop-up telling me there is something missing in my itunes (relating to burning CD/DVD's) and a request to re-install I-tunes.
As everything in my I-tunes account is on my ipod classic , can i just re-install and transfer the stuff across from my ipod ?:o
Or do I need to save everything from i-Tunes onto my portable hard drive and then transfer across when re-installed ?:o

Your iTunes music folder shouldn't be affected by re-installing iTunes. But if you are worried take a copy. In fact it's always good to have a backup!

Thanks , have got a few TV programmes , films , music videos and photo's as well.These should be OK too ?

Re-installing (or even uninstalling) iTunes does not affect your iTunes library.
