Have you paid for the Accidental Damage extension on your insurance policy?

Unless you have, as Luci indicates, AD on your home insurance, or have some additional gadget cover then no.

In addition, many home contents policies can be funny about the inclusion of laptops in their definitions and might limit cover in some way. If you have AD, read the section of your policy document thoroughly. If not, then try a local independent PC repairer.

There is a good chance it's covered even if you have not selected Accidental Damage Cover, which Insurer have Lloyds TSB placed you with (It's on your schedule or policy booklet) and what month did you take it out or renew it?

If you have the Home Options (which could be with LTSB or numerous other insurers) or the Home Solutions (underwritten and dealt with by LTSB) it is covered, as standard on your policy if damaged within the home. You don't need any additional AD cover.
