Hi can anyone help me out with a couple of questions?
I am just about to book a cruise for the summer on the Med but I am curious as to the prices for drinks, both alcoholic and soft when you are onboard.
If anyone has been on the Ocean Village, or any of the Thomson ships can you please give me an idea of costs.
Thomson charges £280 for an all inclusive drinks package PER PERSON which makes me think "How much are drinks for goodness sake?"
Thanks for your help.

I haven't been on the ships you mention but we cruised with Airtours a couple of times and we though the price of the drinks was high compared to the cost of drinks in a European resort especially as they would not be paying UK duty.
£280 sounds expensive for the package though, have you thought of calling Thonpsons and asking about the cost of drinks?0 -
Thanks.
Can anyone else help me please?0 -
Just back 3 weeks from a Princess cruise on the Med. Prices were in dollars, but it worked out $4.95 for a CAN of John Smiths/Draft Wifebeater (stella) or Boddingtons. It was about $4.50 for a shot of whiskey/glass of house wine also.
They had a system that added 15% automatic tip to each drink. I guess this meant it worked out nearly £2.80 per drink. It wasn't such a heavy drinking ship, as I've heard Ocean Village is.
http://www.cruisecritic.com/ is the best place to ask cruise questions btw0 -
hi there, just returned after 2 weeks on Ocean Village, drinks are very reasonable:- half a lager £1.20 for stella, boddingtons beer £2.10 per pint most soft drinks were 95p and house wine was £12.50 cocktails from £2.85hope this is of some help  Sue0

The Thomsons ships are about the same as OV. Unless you drink allot it's not worth the AI
We roughly had
couple of soft drinks in the day maybe a coffee of the day or a cocktail of the day, wine with our meal and then 2-3 mixer drinks at night and we didnt get value for the AI.
If you go on the OV site https://www.oceanvillageholidays.co.uk then go to The Experience (second drop down at the top) then click tour Ocean Village, then click the cocktail glass it will give you a list of the bar if you click on each one it will give you a drink priced button on the leftIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0
