Hi my Dell laptop keyboard keeps stalling missing letters etc randomly not all the time any ideas of a solution?

From the explanation, this is an intermittent problem so replacing the keyboard may fix it but then again may not.
I would change some data feeds by changing the language char set to this keyboard
I would also test it on something that doesnt ask the keyboard to many questions like notepad.
I think this problem is OS based.
You could also uninstall the keyboard and driver from device manager and restart. Let the OS update it.Computers are like me, I get up in the morning and work...until I stop.0 -
To the O/P - do the keys work if you hit them repeatedly OR firmly? Do you notice any lag (slowness) on the screen between when you hit a key and when it appears on the screen?
That will give you the best indication of whether its keyboard or OS.
Personally, i think its keyboard - dust and dirt gets under the keys.
As i said before, keyboards should be easy sourced on EBAY.0 -
